The hydrocollator with its compresses are used for moist heat therapy. It is a steel tub filled with water that guarantees a constant supply of heat to the compresses that are there.
These hot and wet compresses are deposited on the painful zones allowing to improve the circulation fluids, relax the tissues without drying them out and relieve the pain. They provide a feeling of soothing, relaxation and release.
Moist heat therapy is indicated for back pain – neck, muscle spasms, osteoarthritis … but also for the states of stress.
